Tuskegee University Partners With the Army Corps of Engineers

LOGOusarmycorps_of_engineersTuskegee University in Alabama has entered into a partnership agreement with the Army Corps of Engineers in an effort to graduate more students who majored in STEM disciplines.

The Army Corps of Engineers seeks to increase the diversity of its workforce and believes partnerships with minority-serving institutions are a good way to develop scientists who one day may seek employment with the Corps.

Lt. General Thomas P. Bostick, commanding general of the Army Corps of Engineers, stated, “We think the research and development we do with universities is important. Our focus in this area of diversity in a team effort.”
