Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta has announced the appointment of three African American faculty members to department chairs.

Dr. Carter is a graduate of Princeton University, where she majored in biochemistry and African American studies. She earned her medical degree at Howard University in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Thompson is a graduate of Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania, where he majored in biology. He earned a master’s degree in endocrinology and a Ph.D. in cell and developmental biology from Rutgers University.

A native of South Carolina, Dr. Tyler-Hill is a graduate of Princeton University, where she majored in biology. She earned her medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina and completed her internship and residency at the Boston University Medical Center.
