New Facilities Expand Agricultural Research Capabilities at Tennessee State University

tsuTennessee State University in Nashville has officially opened its new Agricultural Biotechnology Building on campus. The 25,000=square-foot building, which cost $8 million, includes offices, classrooms, and laboratory space for the university’s agricultural sciences program. It is the first new building on the Tennessee State campus in eight years. Enrollments in graduate programs in agricultural sciences at the university have tripled over the past five years and this new facility will expand the research capabilities of these programs.

The university also recently opened the Agricultural and STEM Education and Training Center and the Agricultural Research Support Building, which are located on the university’s farm. All three buildings were funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
