Lovell Jones Named Associate Dean for Research at Prairie View A&M University

LovellJonesLovell Jones was named associate dean for research at the College of Nursing at Prairie View A&M University in Texas. Dr. Jones was a professor in the department of health disparities research as well as a professor of biochemistry and molecular biology at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and a research professor in the Graduate College of Social Work at the University of Houston.

As the new associate dean for research at Prairie View A&M, Dr. Jones will focus on establishing a research center on campus to conduct health equity research.

Dr. Jones is a graduate of what is now California State University, East Bay in Hayward. He holds a Ph.D. in tumor biology and endocrinology from the University of California, Berkeley.
