The Next Provost at Drexel University in Philadelphia

brian-blakeM. Brian Blake was appointed provost and executive vice president for academic affairs at Drexel University in Philadelphia. He will being his new duties on August 1. Currently, Dr. Blake is vice provost for academic affairs and dean of the Graduate School at the University of Miami in Florida.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Blake was associate dean for research and graduate studies at the University of Notre Dame in Indiana. He also served as department chair and director of graduate studies in computer science at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Blake is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. He holds a master’s degree from Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, and a Ph.D. from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.

In Memoriam: William Strickland, 1937-2024
