Gregory Pardlo Wins the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry

GregoryPardloPhotoGregory Pardlo, both an instructor and a student at Columbia University in New York City, has won the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry. Pardlo was honored for his second published collection of poems entitled Digest (Four Way Books, 2014).

PardloBookPardlo is a native of Philadelphia and grew up in New Jersey. He now lives in Brooklyn. Pardlo is an associate editor for the literary journal Callaloo. An earlier collection of published poems, Totem, was published in 2007.

Pardlo is  graduate of Rutgers University-Camden. He holds a master of fine arts degree from New York University. Pardlo currently teaches in the undergraduate writing program at Columbia University and is studying in the nonfiction writing program at the university. He is also working on his dissertation for his Ph.D. from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York.
