Tatishe Nteta was promoted from assistant professor to associate professor of political science at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Dr. Nteta, who has been on the faculty at the university since 2007, was also granted tenure.
Dr. Nteta is a graduate of the University of Maryland at College Park. He holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in political science from the University of California, Berkeley.
Wanda K. Lawrence was appointed chair of the department of nursing at North Carolina Central University in Durham. Dr. Lawrence was a professor of nursing at Winston-Salem State University in North Carolina. She served on the Winston-Salem State faculty for 12 years.
Dr. Lawrence is a graduate of North Carolina Central University. She holds a master’s degree in nursing from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a doctorate in higher education leadership from Capella University.
