The Gospel Choir at historically Black Claflin University in Orangeburg, South Carolina has released its first album entitled “D.R.E.A.M. the Live Experience.” The album features many original songs.
D.R.E.A.M. is an acronym for Disciples Reaching Excellent Achievement through Ministry. D.R.E.A.M. serves as the sanctuary choir for Sunday services on the Claflin campus and performs in Orangeburg and throughout the state of South Carolina.
La’Quentin Jenkins, the director of D.R.E.A.M., said that “we just wanted people to hear the message behind the music. When a lot of people get together from different backgrounds, different socioeconomic statuses, and different denominations, we are able to come together with one purpose. It’s amazing.”
