Jefferson J. Jones, a professor emeritus of endodontics at the School of Dental Medicine at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, died in Pepper Pike, Ohio, on November 14. He was 83 years old.
Dr. Jones joined the faculty at Case Western Reserve University in 1967. He was the first African American endodontist in the state of Ohio. Dr. Jones served on the faculty at Case Western Reserve University for 40 years.
A native of Virginia, Dr. Jones was a graduate of Lincoln University of Pennsylvania. He earned his dental degree at the University of Pittsburgh.
