Historically Black Savannah State University in Georgia has signed an agreement with Albany Technical College that will allow students who complete an associate’s degree programs in civil engineering technology or business logistics management at Albany Technical College to transfer to Savannah State University to complete a bachelor’s degree program in business administration.
Manual Hall, chair of the engineering and electronics technology programs at Albany Technical College, said that “science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) workers drive our nation’s innovation and competitiveness by generating new ideas, new companies, and new industries. Both institutions are aggressively seeking ways of providing students with the building blocks and structure needed to successfully engage in such an innovative career.”
Albany Technical College enrolls about 3,600 students. African Americans make up 80 percent of the student body.
