Evelyn P. Leathers was appointed vice president of institutional advancement at Bennett College in Greensboro, North Carolina. She has served as vice president for institutional advancement at Wiley College in Marshall, Texas, and Shaw University in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Leathers holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro and currently is a doctoral student in leadership studies.
Clothilde Hewlett was named executive director of the Cal Alumni Association at the University of California, Berkeley. She is a partner in the law firm Nossaman LLP.
Hewlett is a 1976 graduate of the University of California, Berkeley with a bachelor’s degree in political science. She earned a law degree at Berkeley in 1979.
Kendall D. Isaac was named chief of staff to the president of Fort Valley State University in Georgia. He was the chief legal officer and chief human resources officer at Darton State College in Georgia.
Isaac is a graduate of Ohio State University, where he majored in rhetorical communications, and the Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio. He is currently pursuing an educational doctorate at Columbus State University.
Mohamed Ali was appointed director of dining at Iowa State University. He will oversee four dining centers, 17 retail outlets, and the university’s catering and food vending operations. He was director of auxiliaries operations at Ohio University in Athens.
Ali is a graduate of Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York, where he majored in business management.
