Carlton Wilson, associate professor of history and dean of the College of Liberal Arts at North Carolina Central University in Durham, was elected to the executive council of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History. The association was founded in 1915 by Carter G. Woodson.
Dr. Wilson joined the faculty at North Carolina Central University in 1980. He is an alumnus of NCCU and holds a master’s degree from Ohio State University and a Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
