Duane Lee Holland Jr. has been hired as the first hip-hop dance faculty member at the newly merged Boston Conservatory and the Berklee College of Music. He has been serving as a visiting assistant professor of dance at the University of Iowa. He has also taught dance at Temple University in Philadelphia and Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pennsylvania.
Hollands holds a master of fine arts degree in dance from the University of Iowa.
Sydney Freeman Jr., an associate professor in the department of learning and counseling of the College of Education at the University of Idaho, has been named a certified online instructor by the Learning Resources Network.
Dr. Freeman is a graduate of Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama. He holds a master’s degree and a doctorate in higher education administration from Auburn University in Alabama.
Emily Greenwood was named chair of the department of classics at Yale University. She is a professor of classics and a professor of African American studies at the university. Professor Greenwood joined the faculty at Yale in 2009 after teaching at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.
Dr. Greenwood holds a bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree, and a Ph.D. in classics, all from the University of Cambridge.
