Warren G. Palmer, associate professor emeritus in the School of Education and an associate professor emeritus of library science at the University of Michigan, died in April. He was 95 years old.
Dr. Palmer’s professional career began at Fort Valley State University in Georgia where he served as an associate professor and chair of the Division of Education. He joined the faculty at the University of Michigan in 1970. In addition to teaching, Dr. Palmer served as director of the Office of Educational Communication/Media.
A veteran of World War II, Professor Palmer held a bachelor’s degree in history and economics from Howard University, a master of library and information science degree from Atlanta University and a doctorate in education specializing in instructional technology from Indiana University.
