The Sybil C. Mobley Scholars Program at Florida A&M University and the H. Naylor Fitzhugh Scholars Program at Howard University will provide internships at Lilly’s headquarters in Indianapolis for up to eight students from each university during the summer of their junior year. Students who complete their internship and are offered a full-time job at Lilly upon their graduation, will receive a $12,500 scholarship for their final year as undergraduates.
John Bamforth, vice president and chief marketing officer at Lilly, said that “we strive to hire the best talent from all backgrounds, so that we can leverage their unique ideas and perspectives to create better solutions for the people we serve. It’s critical that our workforce continue to reflect the diverse people whose health and lives we’re working to improve.”
