University of Missouri Receives Replica of the MLK Memorial

Ty Christian, who served as chief marketing strategist for the Martin Luther King Jr. National Memorial Project Foundation which raised $115 million to build the monument, will present the University of Missouri with a smaller replica of the sculpture that was dedicated in Washington last October. The replica is two feet tall and weighs 30 pounds.

Christian, who is a graduate of the University of Missouri, stated “The goal of this piece of art is to represent the fact that the University of Missouri offers anyone and everyone the opportunity to dream. To dream not in black or white but to dream in rainbow colors.”
