The College of Mathematics, Natural Sciences, and Technology at historically Black Delaware State University in Dover, recently opened its new Center of Excellence for Student Success. The new center is designed to provide academic support and mentoring services for students enrolled in STEM courses.
The center will provide tutoring for students in biology, chemistry, and mathematics classes. Often the tutors are the instructors who are actually teaching the classes. While the center was designed for STEM majors, any student taking courses in these disciplines can take advantage of the services offered by the new center. Some instructors will offer extra credit to students who regularly attend the center’s tutoring sessions.
The services offered at the center are free to Delaware State University students.
