Central State University in Ohio Commits $20 Million to Campus Upgrades

Central State University, the historically Black educational institution in Wilberforce, Ohio, has announced that it is investing more than $20 million in campus infrastructure improvements and facility upgrades.

A new campus-wide surveillance system will be installed to improve safety and the university’s communications system will be upgraded. New sidewalks are being built and buildings will get entrances that are in compliance with Americans With Disabilities Act regulations.

Several residence halls on campus will be renovated and many campus building will receive upgrades to heating and air conditioning systems.

One of the larger projects is a $5 million renovation of the Hallie Q. Brown Memorial Library, which will include a new roof and upgrades to the library’s systems.
