
In accepting the appointment, Dr. Howard stated that “I am thrilled for the opportunity to work with the amazing faculty, staff, and students within the School of Interactive Computing. They are already national leaders in some of the most important fields of modern computing, and I look forward to building on that foundation and continuing to pursue research and innovation that addresses real challenges facing our world today.”
Dr. Howard is a graduate of Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. She holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
