
Last year the doctor of physical therapy program received 600 applications for only 30 available slots. Thus, the guaranteed admission into the program under the Early Assurance Plan was a big advantage for McCrea.
Peggy Valentine, dean of the School of Health Sciences at Winston-Salem State University, stated that “these deserving WSSU students are the first of many who will benefit from this unique Early Assurance Program. The School of Health Sciences is committed to helping create a diverse workforce. Through EAP, we are not only meeting the tremendous healthcare workforce needs in North Carolina, but also giving WSSU’s best students the opportunity to earn a head start on their graduate education.”
