The Next President of St. Cloud Technical and Community College in Minnesota

The board of trustees of Minnesota State Colleges and Universities has named Annesa Cheek as the next president of St. Cloud Technical and Community College. She will take office on July 1.

St. Cloud Technical and Community College, founded in 1948, is located about 70 miles northwest of Minneapolis. It enrolls about 4,400 students. African American make up 12 percent of the student body.

Since 2014, Dr. Cheek has been serving as vice president of school and community partnerships at Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio. She has been on the staff at the college since 2006 serving in a number of roles including chief of staff, vice president of student financial services, and senior director of advancement.

Dr. Cheek is a graduate of Tennessee State University in Nashville. She earned an MBA from the University of Dayton and a doctorate in community college leadership from the University of Texas at Austin.
