The University Center of Southern Oklahoma (UCSO) in Ardmore will offer a bachelor’s program for nursing students through historically Black Langston University. Classes for the new program will start in spring 2019. The university plans to admit 24 students for the program’s first semester at the Ardmore campus, with an increase in admissions each year.
The bachelor of science in nursing degree program offered in Ardmore will be the same program as the one offered on the Langston campuses in Langston and Tulsa. The course offerings will also include an RN-BSN and an LPN-BSN track. It will provide students in the Ardmore community with an affordable and local option for earning a degree in nursing.
Langston administrators plan to offer other degree programs at the Ardmore campus in the future. These may include agriculture, criminal justice, cybersecurity, natural resources, conservation, and animal science programs.
