Susan Price Is Serving as Interim Chancellor of the Alabama Community College System

Susan Y. Price was named interim chancellor of the Alabama Community College System. Since 2004, she has served as vice chancellor of student and instructional services. Previously she was an attorney for the Washington State Department of Revenue. There, she served as assistant director of the appeals division from July 1997 to July 2004. Price has gone on record that she is not interested in serving as chancellor of the Alabama Community College System on a permanent basis.

The Alabama Community College System consists of 21 comprehensive community colleges and four technical colleges. About 100,000 students are enrolled in credit courses in the system.

Price is a graduate of Princeton University and the University of Virginia School of Law.
