Delaware State University Appoints Four African Americans to New Administrative Posts

Cleon L. Cauley, Sr.  has been named the university’s general counsel. Prior to his appointment, he founded and operated The Cauley Firm LLC, where he represented clients in criminal and civil matters.

Cauley is a graduate of Immaculata College of Pennsylvania where he earned two bachelor’s degrees in psychology and business. He holds a juris doctorate from the Howard University School of Law.

LaKresha Roberts Moultrie has been named assistant general counsel and chief risk officer. She previously served as chief deputy attorney general for the Delaware Department of Justice and spent the last year campaigning as a candidate for state Attorney General.

Moultrie is a graduate of Pace University in Pleasantville, New York, where she majored in criminal justice and minored in political science. She holds a juris doctorate from the Delaware Law School of Widener University.

Clytrice Watson has been named interim associate provost. She returns to Delaware State after a year of serving as the program director of HBCU-Up at the National Science Foundation. She joined the biological sciences faculty at the university in 2006.

Dr. Watson holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Norfolk State University in Virginia, a master’s degree from Delaware State University, and a Ph.D. in microbiology/food microbiology from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.

Tamara Stoner has been promoted to chief of staff in the Office of the President. She has been a paralegal and secretary to the board of trustees at the university since January 2018.

Stoner is a graduate of West Virginia State University where she majored in political science. She holds an MBA from Wesley College in Dover, Delaware.
