Position Description

The School of Applied Professional Studies in the College of Integrative Sciences and Arts (CISA) at Arizona State University (ASU) invites applications for an Assistant Teaching Professor of Organizational Leadership to begin in the Fall 2025 semester. Expectations for this position include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in multiple scales and modalities; practicing inclusive teaching and mentoring; and providing service to the unit, college, and university. Teaching load is typically four (4) courses per semester. Course load and composition are determined by the school director. This is an academic-year appointment with an expected start date of August 2025.

This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, non-tenure-eligible position with promotion possibilities, and is renewable on an academic year basis contingent upon satisfactory performance, availability of resources, and the needs of the university. Salary is competitive, commensurate with experience. Candidate must reside in Arizona or be willing to relocate.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership or a related field in hand at time of appointment
  • Two years of post-secondary teaching experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Evidence of effective teaching, such as high-enrolling classes, multiple preps, substantial curricular development, enhanced classroom experience (e.g. guest lectures), internships, or study abroad
  • Teaching experience in a post-secondary environment and in digital environments such as Canvas (asynchronously and/or synchronously)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Evidence of activities consistent with the ASU Charter and Design Aspirations
