Bradley University seeks a collaborative, forward-looking leader to serve as its next Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs.
The next Provost will join Bradley as the University’s new President and the campus community are evaluating the institution’s most recent strategic plan, which was approved in 2021. This individual will work closely with faculty, staff, students, and campus leadership to ensure high-quality academic programs and support services that attract students, ensure their success, and bring distinction to the University. The Provost will be expected to build a strong and stable leadership team in Academic Affairs and embrace the institution’s commitment to shared governance while navigating complex decisions.
The next Provost must have a record of successful and progressive academic leadership, a terminal degree in one of the disciplines represented at the University, and an academic record suitable for appointment at the rank of full professor in one of the University’s academic departments. The next Provost must have the ability to support a comprehensive array of academic disciplines and a strong commitment to both a liberal arts education and strong professional programs.
Located in the historic West Bluff neighborhood, Bradley University is a mid-sized, private university in Peoria, Illinois, which offers students the opportunities and resources of a larger university and the personal attention and exceptional learning experiences of a smaller university. Bradley enrolls nearly 5,000 students (approximately 3,600 undergrads and 1,200 graduate students) and employs approximately 900 people. The University has more than 100 undergraduate and graduate academic programs – on-campus and online – in business, communications, education, engineering, fine arts, health sciences, liberal arts and sciences, and technology. The salary range for this position is $240,000 – $255,000 with a competitive benefits package and relocation assistance.
