Media Producer and Coordinator

The Choices / OIT Media Producer and Coordinator distributes their work between the two organizations; in doing so, the individual in this position plans for, coordinates and provides media production services for academic events, instructional and other projects.  The Choices / OIT Media Producer and Coordinator offers consulting and producing expertise and provides media production according to campus and needs of both Choices and OIT. The Choices / OIT Media Producer and Coordinator is a professional with expertise in web delivery and distribution of video and audio content, in live streaming and accessibility in media (e.g. live captioning and subtitling). The incumbent is versed in proper archiving of produced digital born content and in media asset management,  and is interested in innovation and quality assurance in all areas of responsibility.

Job Qualifications :
Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience with videography.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience with video and audio editing.
  • 3 years experience directing and producing.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere or corresponding software on the MAC or PC.
  • Working knowledge of audio editing software.
  • Working knowledge of media conversion tools and understanding of multiple video formats and codecs.
  • Familiarity with different platforms and operating systems.
  • Familiarity with Web delivery and embedding of media produced content.
  • Familiarity with using a studio for media production.
  • Knowledge of lettering and animation software (e.g. Adobe After Effects) preferred.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop or equivalent graphics software preferred.
  • Visual story-telling and content development skills.
  • Knowledge of elements of audiovisual support.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Good writing skills.
  • Positive and professional attitude; interest in learning new skills.
  • Experience in working with and training students is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively; work effectively in a group and as a member of a project team.
  • Possesses a willingness and ability to support a diverse and inclusive environment.
