Assistant Provost for Administration

Bryn Mawr College

Reporting to the Provost, the Assistant Provost for Administration manages the operations of the academic division to assure the quality of the College’s academic programs and the effectiveness of the Provost’s Office processes.  Works with colleagues in the Office of the Provost to maintain and develop operations, procedures and communication within the Office and in related offices.

Manages budgets and financial processes, assists with hiring, reappointments and onboarding of faculty.  Supports the Provost in working with department chairs in curriculum planning and staffing, Coordinates with the Registrar’s Office to launch and monitor annual curriculum planning and course catalog modules.  Oversees the content of the Provost’s Office web site.  Supervises academic department administrative assistants.

Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.  Minimum of five years related experience in higher education. Thorough knowledge of many aspects of academic administration, including appointments procedures, facilities and resource planning, grant oversight, budget projection and management.  Strong technical skills and experience working with an enterprise system.
