Position Description
The Department of Architecture in the College of Communication, Architecture + The Arts at Florida International University invites applications for a 9-month, non-tenure earning, Assistant Teaching Professor in design with a focus on instruction in building systems and structural assemblies at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Primary teaching responsibilities include design studio and required building systems courses in the Master of Architecture program. The assignment begins in August 2024.
Qualifications
We invite applicants with an advanced professional degree in architecture, engineering, or a closely related field and previous graduate teaching experience.
Minimum academic requirements for the position: The Master of Architecture, the Master of Science in Engineering, or the equivalent international degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a closely related field.

About the FIU Department of Architecture and School of Architecture
Within the College of Communication, Architecture + The Arts, the Department of Architecture resides in the School of Architecture, with the Department of Interior Architecture and Department of Landscape Architecture + Environmental Urban Design. All three departments share a rich history of interdisciplinary design and research collaboration. All programs in the three Departments are designated as Federal STEM disciplines.
