The Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) seeks applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Policy beginning in the 2024-25 academic year. The program is seeking a teacher-scholar who can contribute to high-quality undergraduate and graduate education and pursue a high-quality, active research agenda.
The area of specialization is open, but the successful candidate should demonstrate a clear interest in science and technology policy issues, such as health related (medical and bio-) technology, computer and information technology, technology innovation, data science, and sustainable technology. The successful candidate will demonstrate potential for effective teaching at the undergraduate and masters levels, a strong research agenda, and service to the university and community. Candidates with backgrounds that integrate science and engineering fields with the social sciences or humanities are encouraged to apply. A Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in an appropriate field is required prior to the position start date.
