Assistant or Associate Professor, Division of Liver Disease and Transplant Hepatology (Internal Medicine & Gastroenterology trained Hepatologists)

Rutgers New Jersey Medical School is seeking to recruit faculty for the position of Hepatologist and Transplant Hepatologist at our Newark New Jersey campus. These physicians will be integral members of the Division of Liver Disease and Transplant Hepatology, and will include faculty appointments at the Assistant or Associate Professor level at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. Responsibilities include building a robust clinical practice in Hepatology, participation in all aspects of care related to patients who are undergoing Liver Transplantation, education (UME and GME) and research

The Liver Transplantation Program at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School-University Hospital is recognized as having the highest one and three year patient and graft survivals in the country, and prides itself on providing exemplary multi-disciplinary care.

Qualifications:

  1. MD/DO degree
  2. Board certified/eligible in American Board of Internal Medicine
  3. Fellowship training in Hepatology or a combined Fellowship in Gastroenterology/Hepatology.
  4. Eligibility for NJ Licensure
