Full-Time Assistant Teaching Professor in Biology: Immunology (non-tenure-track)

The Department of Biology at Tufts University seeks a full-time, non-tenure-track faculty member beginning September 1st, 2026. The assistant teaching professor’s responsibilities will include, organizing and teaching an introductory immunology lecture course, co-teach a microbiology laboratory course, and develop and teach 1-2 courses that match the candidate’s expertise. These could include cell biology lab, a course-based undergraduate research experience (CURE) lab class, and/or an additional lecture course. Applicants from all areas of immunology—spanning molecular, cellular, organismal, population, and ecosystem levels (including systems, computational/quantitative, evolutionary, and ecological immunology)—are encouraged to apply, and to propose courses that reflect this breadth. Responsibilities will also include undergraduate advising and departmental service.

Per the Full-time Faculty CBA the minimum 9-month salary for an Assistant Teaching Professor in AY 2026-2027 is $79,848.
