The Mark H. McCormack Department of Sport Management invites applications for a tenure track position. The Mark H. McCormack Department of Sport Management, one of the oldest sport management programs in the world, is uniquely housed within the nationally ranked Isenberg School of Management. It offers BS, MS, MBA/MS, and PhD programs and is home to twelve full-time faculty members and a cadre of distinguished part-time faculty.
The position is for an Assistant or Associate Professor in Sport Management. Applicants should have a PhD in Sport Management or related field and specialize in researching and teaching topics related to Diversity and Inclusion in Sport Organizations, Sport Policy and/or Sport Leadership. We welcome candidates who can demonstrate a record of excellence in research, teaching, and service to their schools and field. Applicants should show evidence of publishing in journals commensurate to the Mark H. McCormack Department of Sport Management’s journal list and/or the general Isenberg School of Management journal list. In addition, candidates should articulate ongoing and future research interests and projects in areas related to sport organizational behavior.
A record or ability to mentor and conduct research with graduate students, including Ph.D. students is preferred. Lastly, we seek candidates who demonstrate a record and ability to engage in service to both their department or program, school, and/or field. Including, but not limited to, serving on committees, fundraising, program / school liaison, association committees, editorial boards, etc.
