The University of North Carolina Charlotte invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Community Health (a second position may also be available) who will reside in the Department of Public Health Sciences. The Department includes 30 full-time faculty serving over 1500 undergraduate and 200 graduate students.
The Assistant Professor of Community Health will: a) engage in scholarship that advances the Department’s portfolio of public health research and is expected to seek extramural research funding; b) teach in our undergraduate, masters and doctoral program(s); c) contribute professional service to the institution, community, and discipline; and (d) support the Department’s mission and vision. Minimum qualifications include an earned doctorate in community health, health promotion and education, maternal and child health, physical activity and/or nutrition, or a related field by August 2024.
