Communications Manager

The Division of Equity and Inclusion (DEI) at the University of Oregon (UO) is seeking a Communications Manager who will be at the cutting edge of developing multi-media and multi-modal (website, email, social media, print) communications campaigns that activate change and play a crucial role in advancing the mission of DEI and UO. You will play a vital and creative role in a close-knit team devoted to embedding equity, inclusion and belonging into all corners of the university. DEI works to build capacity for UO’s global leadership around policies, practices, and programs for equity, inclusion, and diversity. DEI promotes inclusive excellence by working to ensure equitable access to opportunities, benefits, and resources through engagement with the campus and the community. As a part of our efforts, we design and implement campus-wide programs to recruit and retain a diverse community of students, staff, and community partners.

Minimum qualifications: (1) Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. (2) Three years of professional experience in communications or public relations, with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion. (3) Experience communicating DEI concepts, issues, and best practices. (3) Experience with Drupal, Emma, Constant Contact or other constituent relationship management (CRM) systems.

Salary: $68,000 – $71,000 per year
