The Division of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of South Carolina Upstate invites applications for Assistant Professor of Computer Science. This is a 9-month, tenure-track position with a start date of August 16, 2024. The Division seeks candidates whose expertise will complement and extend the Division’s existing strengths; individuals with expertise in cybersecurity, network security, computer security, software engineering, cloud computing, mobile computing, or E-business are strongly encouraged to apply. The Division offers degrees in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, and Cybersecurity. The Computer Science program is accredited byCACofABET.USCUpstate has various internal grant opportunities to fund faculty and student research projects. The Division’s faculty is committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching and advising, scholarly activity and service.
Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in Computer Science or closely related field is required by the start date of employment.ABDapplicants with a planned completion date no later than August 15, 2024 will be considered. Strong potential for excellence in teaching and research is required, plus expertise that will extend or complement existing strengths.
