UVA Engineering is made up of 9 departments and 2 centers representing research and teaching areas in Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Systems and Information Engineering, Engineering and Society, First Year Engineering Education, and Applied Mathematics.
