The Program for Leadership and Character at Wake Forest University is seeking a dynamic, creative, and committed colleague to become Assistant Director of Leadership and Character in Athletics. The Assistant Director of Leadership and Character in Athletics will lead programming related to Leadership and Character in Athletics, with a special focus on designing and delivering programming for a student-athlete leadership academy and additional ongoing student-athlete programs as well as providing individualized support to coaches, student-athletes, teams, and Athletics staff. The Assistant Director will be responsible for coordinating, designing, and delivering student programming in partnership with Athletics and related campus offices and departments and utilizing interpersonal skills to engage thoughtfully and compassionately with students, staff, and campus partners, with a strong commitment to character and a desire to learn how to educate leadership and character effectively in a university context. The Assistant Director will also mentor students, organize events, and lead discussions for the larger student body; assist with program assessment; and support the day-to-day operations of the Program for Leadership and Character at Wake Forest and the efforts of the Educating Character Initiative to equip other colleges and universities to educate character in their contexts.
