Wilkes University invites applicants for an Associate Provost for Academic and Diversity Affairs in the division of Academic Excellence and Student Success, a unit encompassing academic deans and directors, academic operations, academic and diversity affairs, academic innovation and student life and success to address the entirety of the student experience.

The successful candidate will collaborate with various University committees and departments to help cultivate an open and inclusive culture. They will develop and implement strategic diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives within the Division of Academic Excellence and Student Success. They will be responsible for providing administrative and managerial support to the Senior Vice President and Provost in matters relating to academic programming and policies, accreditation, faculty personnel matters, and DEI initiatives. The Associate Provost for Academic and Diversity Affairs will have direct supervision of the Library as well as the offices of Institutional Research and Diversity Initiatives.

A Doctorate or related terminal degree in an academic discipline is required. The ideal candidate will have at least five years’ administration experience at an institution of higher education. Experience working on and leading DEI initiatives is essential. Demonstrated teaching experience and scholarly achievements, as well as experience with educational outcomes assessment, academic policies and procedures, accreditation, Library operations, and program development are preferred. The position requires the use of a wide range of procedures and comprehensive knowledge of the academic environment.
