This position is a part of a multi-departmental cluster hire in Comparative Antiquities that includes the Departments of Classics, Comparative Literature, Art History, Hebrew & Judaic Studies, and East Asian Studies; this cluster is an exciting new initiative, reflecting the growing awareness that the separation of ancient cultures into discrete disciplinary units is a substantial hindrance to our proper understanding of antiquity.
