RMSI scholars perform academic research using Russian-language sources to develop deeper insight into key aspects of Russia’s maritime power.

The Senior Historian of the HHC is responsible for leading the center, acting as a project and program coordinator, developing and managing the Center’s annual budget, and guiding faculty in support of the HHC’s mission.

The incumbent is responsible for conducting advanced operational and international law research and publications, developing curriculum, teaching, mentoring military and civilian faculty within the NWC and from the armed forces of the United States and its allies and partners, providing legal advice in support of CNWS wargaming and research projects, and engaging globally to educate leaders and shape the legal battlespace for the naval, joint, and combined force.

The successful candidate will develop and teach WPS electives and core courses tailored specifically for JPME.  They will provide lectures and facilitate seminars across core teaching departments and organize faculty development and student learning opportunities.

Duties include support for maritime-focused operational level of war education and assistance requested by Joint partners, educational institutions, and Fleet commands, including assistance with their work with international partners.
