Edward Hill, Jr. of Talladega College, George Johnson of South Carolina State University, Melissa Bonds of Alverno College in Milwaukee, and Lee Baker of Duke University have received new appointments at their institutions.
Since 2012, Brown has served as chief executive officer for Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast. Prior to leading the Girl Scouts, Brown served as vice chancellor for finance and administrative affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from 2007 to 2012. Earlier, she was executive vice president and general counsel at Milwaukee Area Technical College from 2002 to 2007.
The new deans are Daryl Joseph Moore at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Jeanie C. Lucy at Alverno College in Milwaukee, Racquel Ingram at High Point University in North Carolina, and Jonathan Miller at the Community College of Rhode Island in Warwick.

The Thea Bowman Institute for Excellence and Leadership, a program designed to serve Black women through academic leadership programming. The institute is named for a Franciscan, Catholic sister, teacher, and scholar educated in Wisconsin who made significant contributions to the church's ministry to Blacks.
