Pamela Haney Is the New President of Moraine Valley Community College in Illinois
Since 2012, Dr. Haney has been serving as vice president for academic affairs at the college. Prior to coming to Moraine Valley in 2009, Dr. Haney served as program administrator and assistant professor of communication arts at Defiance College in Ohio. She also taught as an assistant professor of speech communication at Norfolk State University in Virginia.
Dione Somerville is the New President of Owens Community College in Perrysburg, Ohio
Dr. Somerville has held leadership positions at Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, Lorain County Community College, Iowa State University, Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania, and most recently Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo, Iowa, where she was executive vice president.
Judith Gay Will Be the First Leader of the New Erie County Community College in Pennsylvania
Dr. Gay has been serving as vice president for strategic initiatives and chief of staff for the Community College of Philadelphia and was interim president during the 2013-14 academic year. Dr. Gay had planned to retire at the end of January.

Dr. Thomas Gibson has been serving since 2016 as vice president for student affairs and vice provost at Bowling Green State University in Ohio. Previously, he was associate vice president of student affairs at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. Dr. Gibson will take on new duties in January.

Velvet Brown Named Distinguished Professor at Pennsylvania State University
Professor Brown joined the faculty at Pennsylvania State University in 2003 as a professor of tuba and euphonium. Earlier in her career, she served on the faculty at Bowling Green State University in Ohio and Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.

Joyce O. Jenkins was the director of the Center for Teaching and e-Learning at Arkansas Baptist College in Little Rock. Prior to joining the staff at Arkansas Baptist College in 2012, Dr. Jenkins had a 26-year career at Fort Valley State University in Georgia.
Central State University in Ohio to Become More Affordable to Out-of-State Students
For the current academic year, out-of-state tuition was just under $14,000. For students from Ohio, tuition was $6,246. Under the new tuition formula, the out-of-state surcharge will be reduced by 76 percent for most students entering this coming fall.
