Dr. Hare was a prominent figure in the civil rights movement throughout the 1960s and was a strong advocate for equal educational opportunities for Black Americans. In 1968, he founded the country's first Black studies program at San Francisco State University.
Dr. Homes-Sullivan is currently the vice president for student life and dean of students at the college. She came to Lewis & Clark in 2019 from the University of California System, where she served as vice president for student affairs. Earlier, she spent 27 years at the University of Oregon rising to the position of vice president of student life.
Crewell joined the California Institute of Technology as director of financial aid in 2007, a position he maintained until November 2019. Earlier, he served on the staff at the California College of the Arts, the California School of Professional Psychology, and Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
