Dr. Nunes assumed the interim presidency of California Lutheran University on June 1. He will serve in that position for a two-year term. Previously, he served as president of Concordia College in New York for five years.

Richard Green will become interim president on June 1. Most recently, Dr. Green served as interim president of Lincoln University in Pennsylvania. Earlier, he was interim provost at Saint Cloud State University in Minnesota and Albany State University in Georgia.

Historically Black Concordia College in Alabama to Close

Concordia College, a historically Black educational institution in Selma, Alabama, was founded in 1922. It is the only HBCU affiliated with the Lutheran Church. The college has about 400 students and 100 employees. The college will close at the end of the current semester.

The new course, which will be taught in the classroom and online, is a collaboration of the National Center for Bioethics in Research and Health Care at historically Black Tuskegee University in Alabama and historically Black Concordia College in Selma, Alabama.
