William Harris is dean of academic affairs for the College of Arts and Sciences at Presbyterian College, Brittany Palmer is dean of industrial technologies and professional services at Georgia Piedmont Technical College, and Audrey Miller is dean of the School of Nursing at Barry University.

New Administrative Positions for Four Black Leaders in Higher Education

The appointments are Rolanda Horn at Georgia Piedmont Technical College, Victor McCrary at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., Tamara Michel Josserand at North Carolina A&T State University, and David Halbert at Framingham State University in Massachusetts.

Larry Johnson Jr. is the New President of Bronx Community College

Irvin T. Clark is the New President of Southern Crescent Technical College in Griffin, Georgia

Dr. Clark has more than 20 years of experience in higher education, including leading Georgia Piedmont Technical College’s Economic Development division since 2017. Earlier, he was vice president and CEO at the Harrisburg Campus of Harrisburg Community College in Pennsylvania.

Tavarez Holston Appointed President of Georgia Piedmont Technical College in DeKalb

Since 2013, Dr. Holston has served as vice president for academic affairs at Lanier Technical College in Oakwood, Georgia. He holds a master's degree in leadership and organizational effectiveness from Troy University in Alabama and a doctorate in higher education leadership from Valdosta State University in Georgia.

Larry Johnson Appointed President of Phoenix College in Arizona

Dr. Johnson has been serving as provost and chief academic officer at the Forest Park campus of St. Louis Community College. Earlier, he was associate dean for academic affairs at Broward College-South Campus in Pembroke Pines, Florida.

Six African Americans Appointed to Key Posts in Higher Education Administration

Taking on new roles are Katherine Bassard at Virginia Commonwealth University, Vita C. Pickrum at Delaware State University, Adam A. Smith at the University of Alabama, Pamela A. Anthony at Southern Methodist University, Constance Mallette at Winston-Salem State University, and Ivan L. Harrell II at Georgia Piedmont Technical College.
