With over 25 years of experience, Dr. Bailey most recently served as director for research development at historically Black Virginia State University. A scholar of early childhood education, she has held academic and leadership roles with numerous universities across the United States.
“As chancellor, I look forward to building upon IU Northwest’s strong foundation while charting an exciting course forward with all the vibrant communities of Northwest Indiana. I am eager to begin this journey and meet the remarkable individuals who make IU Northwest special," said Dr. Jackson, who is slated to begin his new role on July 1.
Corey D. B. Walker has been named dean of the Wake Forest University School of Divinity. Crystal Shannon has been named dean of the College of Health and Human Services at Indiana University Northwest and Colvin T. Georges Jr. was appointed dean of students for the Albert A. Sheen campus of the University of the Virgin Islands.
Since 2019, Dr. Clayton has been president of Atlanta Metropolitan State College. Previously, he was vice president of student affairs at Georgia Southern University. Earlier, he was vice chancellor for student affairs at Indiana University Northwest and vice president for student affairs at Armstrong State University which was merged into Georgia Southern University.
Prior to being named interim president of Atlanta Metropolitan State College this past July, Dr. Lewis was vice president of student affairs at Georgia Southern University. Earlier, he was vice chancellor for student affairs at Indiana University Northwest.
After allegations that Kenneth Coopwood had been treated unfairly due to his race and a university investigation that determined he had not been discriminated against, Dr. Coopwood decided to resign.
