Taking on new administrative duties are Kristene Kelly at Keene State College in New Hampshire, Michael A. Hales at Delaware State University, James Hill at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and Chanta M. Haywood at Fort Valley State University in Georgia.
Dr. Giles-Gee became the 22nd president of the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia in July 2012. She was the first woman and the first African American president in the nearly 200-year history of the university.
The appointees are: Kimberly Johnson at Auburn University, Rosalie Richards at Stetson University, Benjamin Reese at Duke University, Kemal Atkins at Kenne State College, LLJuna Weir at Alcorn State University, and Calvin J. McFadden Sr. at Smith College.
Currently, president of Keene State University in New Hampshire, she will be the first woman president in the 191-year history of the University of the Sciences.
