Over the past two decades, many of the nation's leading university's have issued reports on their historical ties to slavery. Now, Loyola University of Maryland in Baltimore has issued its findings.
The African American faculty members taking on new roles are Karsonya Whitehead at Loyola University of Maryland, Tomaz Cunningham at Jackson State University in Mississippi, and Rhamin Ligon of the University of Maryland.
Dr. Mighty has been serving as vice chancellor for clinical affairs at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. Earlier in his career, he was on the faculty at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
