Dr. Oparah has served on the faculty at Mills College in Oakland, California, for more than 20 years. In 2017, she was named provost and dean of the faculty at Mills College. She will assume her new duties at the University of San Francisco on July 12.
Dr. Stanback Stroud has more than 35 years of experience as an educator and leader. She served most recently as president of Skyline College in San Bruno, California. She served in that role from 2010 to 2019.
Taking on new teaching assignments are Robert Moses at Mills College in Oakland, Harold Briggs at the University of Georgia, Philip Lima at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Demarre McGill at the University of Cincinnati, and Tyree Daye at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
The new deans are Claire Garcia at Colorado College, Malik S. Henfield at Loyola University in Chicago, Wendi S. Williams at Mills College in Oakland, California, Nicola Boothe Perry at Florida A&M University, and John M.M. Anderson at Howard University in Washington, D.C.
Appointed to administrative posts are Audrey Tanner at Mills College in Oakland, Tyvi Small at the University of Tennessee, Anthony Heaven at the University of Mississippi, Racheal Brooks of North Carolina Central University, and Donnie Brooks at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Dr. Hinkson has been serving as dean of Barnard College in New York City. Earlier in her career, Dr. Hinkson was associate dean of admissions at Pomona College. She will begin her new job at Pomona College in Claremont, California, on August 1.
The honorees are Ernest E. Jeffries, associate dean of students at Davidson College, Robert Smith, a graduate of Tougaloo College who was a major figure in the civil rights movement, and Roscoe Mitchell of Mills College.
The honorees are Barbara Krauthamer of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Chinyere Oparah of Mills College in Oakland, California, Livingston Alexander of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford, and Anthony K. Wutoh of Howard University.

Alecia A. DeCoudreaux, president of Mills College in Oakland, California, has announced that she will step down in June 2016. She became president of the women's college on July 1, 2011 after a long career in the legal department of Eli Lilly and Company.
Dr. Miller has been serving as vice president and chief operating officer of the Education Trust, a nonprofit organization that advocates for educational programs and equal opportunity.
